About Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Primary School

Our Lady of Perpetual Succour is a Roman Catholic Primary School provided by the Diocese of Salford and is maintained by Blackburn with Darwen Local Authority as a voluntary aided primary school.

The school is situated at the bottom of a cul-de-sac and surrounded on 3 sides by green fields with stunning views or Darwen Tower and the surrounding moors.

The school is one form entry and at present has 177 pupils on role.

Our Lady of Perpetual Succour RC Church was opened on September 18th 1953 and the school was built on land belonging to the church. The school was opened in September 1977 with just 72 pupils.

Our Headteacher is Mrs Martina Staffa and she became the Headteacher in September 2014
