About Heatherton House School Nursery
At Heatherton House Nursery, it is our aim that every girl and boy develops a lively, enquiring mind, feels happy, safe and secure, and fulfils their potential in all aspects of progress and growth. We work in close partnership with parents to ensure that we give children the highest quality of care and education, according to their individual needs.
Children are able to choose activities that interest them and are allowed time to complete their chosen tasks in both our indoor area that features a fantastic wooden playframe, a fully equipped IT zone, separate role-play space, a dedicated creative area, and a 'cosy' room for circle time. There's also an amazing outdoor play area with numerous ride-on toys, water play, large sand-pit and dedicated garden and digging zone.
Sensitive adult support ensures that our children can practice new and existing skills, develop their thoughts and ideas and, when appropriate, we challenge their thinking and invite them to test their ideas.
Our highly qualified staff comprise of two full-trained teachers as well as specialist teaching for music, modern foreign languages, ballet and Playball. Our Nursery children also have daily contact with our Reception pupils and staff, which enables a smooth transition as your daughter continues her journey through to Reception.
Our Nursery boys leave us at the end of the term before they start Reception.
Our day starts from 8:20am, with sessions finishing at 12:00, 1:00 and 3:00pm.
We also offer wrap-around care from 7:30am-6:30pm, five days a week, to all of our Heatherton pupils.
