About Burgess Hill Girls
Burgess Hill Girls is an independent day and boarding school for girls aged between 2½ and 18 years.
Our Nursery offers provision for 51 weeks of the year, with an increased range of childcare options for girls and boys from 2½ years.
The Junior School provides a broad, varied and stimulating curriculum within a warm and caring environment. The Junior School offers small classes and specialist teachers for Music, Sport and Languages. Every girl is helped to reach her full potential socially, physically, emotionally and intellectually. Whilst academic achievement is important, the school aims to educate young people for life, providing education in the broadest sense.
In the Senior School, students are known as individuals and are able to strive for excellence wherever their talents lie. Students achieve excellent academic results due to the school's small class sizes, a wide range of subjects, a focus on each individual student and teachers who are specialists in girls' education.
The Senior School offers specialist teaching rooms including; a new state-of-the-art language suite equipped with computers and specialist software for personalised listening and speaking; Music rooms equipped with the latest Apple Mac composition software; two Art studios with an exhibition area, Art library and a kiln area; a Drama studio; a new Media suite; two modern Chemistry labs; a specialist Textiles room and Technology workshop room.
The Sixth Form offers personalised academic and pastoral support, wide-ranging opportunities and responsibility to take on many leadership roles. The Sixth Form enables students to grow in confidence and independence, ready for the challenges of higher education or their chosen career path. A stimulating and relevant curriculum is on offer, with up to 25 Advanced Level subjects and expert teaching provided in small groups.
